LG Esteem Rooted!!!

We were able to root my LG Esteem. However there is still some things we need to tinker with to get SU and Superuser.apk working and asking your permission instead of just granting all apps root permissions.
Check back, I will be posting another one click root for the phone, once we get everything worked out.

LG Esteem not a simple Root

It turns out that the LG Esteem has been patched very well by LG to keep users from being able to root the device. Most known root methods have been tested on the esteem without success. So far it looks like its going to take much longer to find a working root method for this phone than most were hoping for.
Importing Your Photos from Android to iPhoto

For some odd reason iPhoto just cant seem to locate photos from my android phones. When the phone is connected and Mass Storage mode enabled, Itunes detects that it has been connect and acts as if its going to import photos. But it then says that it cant find any photos to import. After doing some research I found a lot of other users have had the same troubles with iPhoto and their android devices. I tried a few of the solutions and only one of them has been working for me. The method that is working is to install a simple automation script that runs when ever the android is plugged into the computer. When the android is connected iPhoto automatically starts its import. The only down side is that you have to remember to open iPhoto before connecting your phone. If you just connect the phone without iPhoto already being open the import process doesn’t seem to start.

The LG Esteem is Turing out to have better specs than expected. The LG Esteem for MetroPCS will have 8GB of internal storage and 512MB Ram unlike the rumored 4GB internal storage everyone thought the phoen would have.

Netflix app now runs on all 2.2 and 2.3 android devices.

Up until now only a few select android devices were able to use the Netflix movie streaming app. There have been hacked versions of the app floating around the internet but now the app is officially made to work on any 2.2 or 2.3 android devices. Those devices that were not supported before should now be able to download the app right from the Android Market.
