LG Esteem(MS910) – Software Update

It looks like there is a new software update for the LG Esteem, MetroPCS’s top android phone. No details what exactly has changed but supposedly those with rebooting and 4G disconnect troubles should be fixed with this update.
I’m installing the update as we speak and will report back once its completed updating.

Not noticing anything new, and by the way if you want to stick with the ZVB software don’t upgrade because it will put you on the ZVC software.
LG Esteem Rooted!!!

We were able to root my LG Esteem. However there is still some things we need to tinker with to get SU and Superuser.apk working and asking your permission instead of just granting all apps root permissions.
Check back, I will be posting another one click root for the phone, once we get everything worked out.

The LG Esteem is Turing out to have better specs than expected. The LG Esteem for MetroPCS will have 8GB of internal storage and 512MB Ram unlike the rumored 4GB internal storage everyone thought the phoen would have.

I was in the mall today and passed by a MetroPCS stand so I deiced to ask the guy working there if he knew anything about the new LG Esteem. At first he acted like he didn’t know anything about it. Then after talking for a minute he said that he knew about it and that he got an email saying the release date would be pushed back because of photo’s that leaked onto the internet.
This is the first I have heard of someone saying the phone would be pushed back due to internet leaks. The rumors that have been circling the internet keep saying the phone will be released sooner than expected. The guy could have just been making it up for all I know. I’m hoping MetroPCS releases the pricing info so that I can preorder the phone.
